Jude Greenfield qualified as a nurse in 2000 and went on to undertake a specialised degree in Critical Care Nursing from the Oxford Brookes University in 2004.

Whilst training Jude initially worked as a Health Care Assistant, her role included providing nursing care, supporting and assisting the nursing and medical staff in the delivery of care and assisting with the activities of daily living.

In October 2000, Jude commenced employment as a Staff Nurse. This involved providing nursing care to a variety of surgical and medical patients in the private healthcare sector, taking charge of the ward and managing a team of nurses during the day to day delivery or care and running the day case department.

Between 2001 and 2004, Jude worked in an Intensive Care Unit and held a Senior Management position being responsible for adults and children with head and spinal injuries, and other neurological conditions and, managing long term ventilation amongst other invasive monitoring and treatment techniques. Jude acted as a Spinal Link Nurse providing training for the multidisciplinary team on the best standards of care for spinal injuries patients and writing protocols and standards to provide guidelines for best spinal practice within the intensive care setting.

In 2006, Jude worked on a seven bedded intensive care unit as head of Department. Jude provided expert nursing care for critically ill patients with a variety of illnesses and conditions including post craniotomy, spinal and neurosurgery.

Jude now combines her specialist nursing role with her work at Tania Brown Limited as a Case Manager working with clients of all ages with complex neurological conditions. Jude has managed a varied caseload working with adults and children who have had a range of conditions. Through her knowledge of working with adults and children, with various different conditions, Jude facilitates the provision of effective rehabilitation programmes via the commission of appropriate clinicians, recruitment of support workers and procurement of identified equipment according to the client’s individual circumstances. She has been successful in empowering her clients to become more independent and achieve their own specific goals.
